This public municipal course is an 18-hole, 6,071 yard (from longest tees) with a par 71. The slope rating is 113, and the course has a rating of 69.0. The International City Golf Course opened in 1957 and was designed by Lou Burnett. The course features three sets of tees on Bermuda grass. The facility also has a 30-tee driving range to help any middle GA golfer fix their swing.

The Landings Golf Club, Trestle Course, is a semi-private 9 hole course over 3,573 yards with a par of 36 (public). Designed by Ault, Clark and Associated, the Trestle golf course opened in 1987 located in the Statham’s Landing community. The TIF Eagle Bermuda greens were rebuilt in 2005. The course boasts a 35-tee driving range and five sets of tees to accommodate various levels of skill. The Trestle Course received its name from the wooden bridge crossing over the lake on hole six.

The Landings Golf Club, Bluff Course, is a semi-private 9 hole course over 3,425 yards with a par of 36 (public). Designed by Ault, Clark and Associated, the Bluff golf course opened in 1987 located in the Statham’s Landing community. The TIF Eagle Bermuda greens were rebuilt in 2005. The course has a 35-tee driving range and five sets of tees to accommodate various levels of skill. The Bluff Course received its name from the signature hole fourteen, which is known as “the most feared hole in middle Georgia.”

Note: When combined, the Landings Golf Course can be an 18-hole, 7100+ yard challenge.

Pine Oaks Golf Course

Pine Oaks Golf Course is a private, non-equity 18 holes course over 6,343 yards with a par 71.  The course rating is 71.0 and has a slope rating of 126.  The course opened in 1951 and is located in the heart of Robins Air Force Base. Pine Oaks Golf Course offers four sets of tees and two junior/family sets of tees. The course was rated top in AFMC in 1996 and the best in the Air Force in 1997. In 2001, the course was awarded the Gen. Curtis E. Lemay Award.

The Waterford Golf Club is a public course with 18-holes, 6,336 yards, and a par of 72.  The course rating is 68.9 and the slope rating is 119 on Bermuda grass.  Designed by Don Cottle, Jr., the golf course opened in 1991.  The course has a community facility and 40-tee driving range.

The Houston Springs Golf Course is a semi-private 18-holes course. The course is on 50 scenic acres with six lakes and three ponds within the active adult community, Houston Springs.  Designed by Azinger Golf Design in 2004, it also boasts a 25-tee driving range and a community facility. The course is the only Public Premier Golf Course in Middle Georgia as rated by the SRC. It has both challenging and straight forward holes for both duffers and those who are serious about their golf game.

Formerly Perry Golf Course, this 18-hole course features 6,465 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 71.  The course rating is 70.5 and has a slope rating of 122. This course offers four sets of tees on Bermuda grass. The golf club has a fitness center, swimming pool, restaurant, and a snack bar.

Houston Lake Country Club

The course has 18 holes over 6,745 yards with a par of 72.  Houston Lakes Golf Course has a course rating of 71.8 and a slope rating of 131 with five sets of tees on Bermuda grass.  Designed by O.C. Jones, the 135 acre course is home to its namesake, Houston Lake. The Houston Lake property was purchased by 17 businessmen led by Senator Sam Nunn in 1964, and the course opened in 1966. Since 2013, the semi-private club has been owned by the real estate holding company, Byrd & Company LLC. The course will celebrate its 50th year of operation in 2016.

Southern Hills Golf & Country Club

Southern Hills Golf Course is an 18-hole course that plays 6,741 yards from the longest tees. Nine of the holes on the course are surrounded by water. The course is owned by the Dunaway Family of Hawkinsville and started off as family owned hunting and farming land. Designed by Mike Young and shaped by Ernest Jones, the course opened in late 1997 after 18 months of construction.  Construction of the development was Pulaski County’s largest real estate venture. Southern Hills owes its name to the rolling terrain on the course, and the unusual for the area 160 feet elevation changes.

Pine Needles Country Club (Bonus Course)

The 9-hole Pine Needles course at the Pine Needles Country Club facility in Fort Valley features 3,078 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 36. The course rating is 34.7 and has a slope rating of 120 on Bermuda grass. There are three different tees to appeal to a range of skill levels.  Pine Needles Country Club opened in 1954.

Golf Course Communities in Houston County GA

There are only a few communities in Houston County that are co-located with golf courses. Those communities include:

Stathams Landing – Situated close to Robins Air Force Base in Warner Robins. Very picturesque course with some difficult holes including the infamous #14 which has affectionately been nicknamed “Bluff”.

Houston Springs – This is an adult community (55+) in Perry. The golf course will challenge all skill levels!
