Fisharama began as the Atlanta Fisharama in February 1984 and was held in conjunction with the Perry Turkeyrama, featuring the U.S. Open Turkey Calling Championship in 1989. Both events were featured together in 1991 at the Georgia National Fairgrounds & Agricenter. The GWF made the decision in 2007 to combine both of the events into Fisharama and Turkeyrama in Perry GA.
