Things To Do in Middle Georgia: Peaches to the Beaches

Peaches to the Beaches Yard Sale (2018)

Things To Do in Middle GA - Peaches to the Beaches

If you love looking for bargains, seek the thrill of the hunt, enjoy negotiating for treasures, are looking for a special trinket, or just want to see for yourself what all the hoopla surrounding this annual event is about, you definitely need to hit the road and check out “Peaches to the Beaches” this year. Half the adventure is pulling up to the church grounds, front yards, parking lots, and storefront sidewalk sales in search of antiques and keepsakes.

This event has been running annually since 2005, is the brainchild of Golden Isles Parkway Association Inc., and was established to promote more exposure, development, and travel along U.S. 341.  It is definitely working as thousands will be out looking for wares along this well established route.

During this 2-day event, Highway 341 in Georgia affectionately becomes home to Georgia’s Longest Yard Sale. Thousands of patrons are expected along the route as Peaches to the Beaches runs for 200+ miles from Barnesville in the north all the way to Jesup in the south, passing through over 25 communities and 11 counties along the way. Keep a watchful eye out for the “Official Vendor” signs along the way.
