Upward Sports in Warner Robins GA (2017)

Upward Sports is an international, Christian based youth sports provider offering basketball, baseball & softball, cheerleading, flag football, and soccer in the Warner Robins GA area. The sports program is run through local participating churches and volunteers for each seasonal sport. The program is designed to promote the discovery of Christian values while further developing athleticism among participating children.

Location: Second Baptist Church, 2504 Moody Road, Warner Robins GA

All practices and games will be played at Second Baptist Church during the season.

Cost:

  • Early Attendance (January 3, 2017) – $95 per child
  • After February 7th – $105 per child (space permitting)

There is a discount of multiple registered children – $5 off second child, $10 off third child and up.

Ages: K4 – 7th grade

League Divisions: 

  • TBall – K/4 – K/5 Grade Boys
  • TBall – K/4 – K/5 Grade Girls
  • Rookie – 1st – 2nd Grade Boys
  • Rookie – 1st – 2nd Grade Girls
  • Minor 3rd – 4th Grade Boys
  • Minor 3rd – 4th Grade Girls
  • Major 5th – 7th Grade Boys
  • Major 5th – 7th Grade Girls

Players must be 4 years old by January 1, 2017 to participate.

Evaluation Dates: 

  • K/4 – K/5 TBall: Tuesday, February 21st – 6pm to 7:30pm
  • 1st – 2nd Grade: Saturday, February 18th – 10am to 12pm
  • 3rd – 4th Grade: Saturday, February 18th – 1:30pm to 4pm
  • 5th – 7th Grade: Thursday, February 16th – 5:30pm – 7:30pm

All evaluations will be held in the Youth Activity Center at Second Baptist Church.

Important Dates: 

  • First Game: Saturday, April 8th
  • Finish Date: Tuesday, May 23rd

Practice Details: 

  • Begins Monday, March 13th
  • 3 – 4 weeks of practice
  • Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday and a Saturday practice prior to first game

Game Times: Saturdays with the exception of two weeknight games

Players Kit Details: 

  • Full Uniform – Jersey, Pants (Shorts in Rookie Softball), Socks, Hat and a League T-Shirt

Grade divisions are determined each year based on the number of children’s registration for each grade. The following grade divisions are from 2016 registration. Grades third and up will play on a larger field with goalies.

  • Monday, February 13th – 5:45pm to 7pm
  • Tuesday, February 14th – 5:45pm to 7pm
  • Thursday, February 16th – 5:45pm to 7pm

Upward Sports History

Upward Sports was started in 1995 and is a Christian sports program that teaches kids respect and teamwork.  Equal playing time and positive recognition are hallmarks of the program that has representation in 46 states and over 70 countries around the world.  Upward Sports currently has programs in baseball, basketball, cheerleading, flag football, soccer, softball, and volleyball.  Field hockey is also available in Canada.
