Friends of the Library Old Book Sale (2023)
Think back to a time when Kindles, Nooks, and other E-Book readers weren’t common place. Remember? You know, when books had paper pages. If you fondly recall that time, then you are in for a treat at the annual Friends of the Library Old Book Sale held in Perry Georgia.
Each year the Friends of the Library Old Book Sale seems to get bigger and better! With over 90,000 used books and media available for sale in over 60 categories, you can bet you will find something you like at a very reasonable price.
So whether you are a casual reader, page turner, or a self proclaimed book-worm, come on out to the Houston County Friends of the Library Old Book Sale. You will definitely find something worth reading!
Book Sale Event Details
When: April 20 – 22, 2023
Times:
- Thursday, April 20th: 10am-8pm
- Friday, April 21st: 9am-8pm
- Saturday, April 22nd: 9am-3pm
Where: Georgia National Fairgrounds, Georgia Grown Building (near the clock tower), in Perry GA. Use I-75, Exit 135, and enter the fairgrounds through the west gate.
Cost: $5 admission on Thursday (Friends members are free) and free for everyone on both Friday/Saturday
On average, book prices will be $1 – $2 with rare books costing a bit more. The books are half-price on Saturday if you really want to get a great deal!
Additional Book Sale Information
The event raises money for all the Houston County GA Libraries. Since 2005, through this activity and other opportunities, over $431K has been raised for and donated to the public library system in Houston County. You can help by donating used books (drop them off at one of the public libraries), volunteering your time to work this event, and/or helping out financially.
